Hello all!!!
My girlfriend has a 2003 convertible with the turbo
She washed it the other day and now we have crazy problems
First, the driver side window won't roll down, all the other ones do
Second, the top wont go down
Third, the dinging noise stays on so long, and even longer when the light are turned on
Last, out of no where the windows roll down ( except the drivers ) and the hazard light go on all both at the same time ( when we just stopped for gas, and two other times I wasn't in the car ).
I never worked on one of these cars so I can use all the help I can get
If anyone can tell me what and where to look for a problem that would be so great
Also I did check the fuses and didn't find any bad ones
Thank you very much

A warm welcome to the greatest Beetle ORG on the web.

I don't have an answer to your mysterious issues. Sounds like a water leak onto the electronics.

We love photos, so, I hope you'll share a batch of yours!

What happens if you press the "master" button that operates ALL the windows at once ?

My best Internet guess is water ingress .
Did you wash under the hood ?

I'd be cleaning and checking all the grounds , and squirting all the switches etc.

All 3 windows move with the master button
But not the drivers
I read somewhere about a pollen filter leaking and getting water on a convince control ????
I so don't want to bring it to the dealer

If you clip off the center dash piece that goes from the radio panel to the front screen , you can then remove the side pieces .
The cabin filter is under one of the side pieces .

That's about all the help I can give . Sorry

If you have access to a meter you can start ace king for power and ground continuity at the motors and switches ...
