Just curios...
the auction ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/8500K-BLUE-XENON-H1-HEADLIGHTS-98-03-VOLKSWAGEN-BEETLE_W0QQitemZ8012276839QQcategoryZ36476QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ) makes HID lights for 2003 Turbo S plug and play possible. Is there any truth in advertising?

Those are blue H1 lightbulbs. They sure don't look like HID's to me. HID's require a ballast (like flourescent lights) to ignite.

Hahaha, $9.99 ;)

You won't be able to find a REAL HID kit for under $150. Maybe you could find some used parts for $150 ish, but most are still in the $300-$500 range I believe.

That auction is essentially blue lightbulbs.
