Hello guys, i'm new here and i need some help from the experts.

I am the proud owner of a 1998 New Beetle, which i believe to be a US imported car. (I live in Denmark)

My problems is, that when i turn off the car, both the front and rear parking lights, aswell as the taillights stay on, resulting in a dead battery the next day.

Is there any way to disable this or do i have to turn off the lights manually?

When you turn the ignition key off, is the headlight switch turned all the way to the left in the off “0” position?

Turned to the right “1” position is parking lights -on; ignition off in US
