how do you know when you need to change your diverter valve spring to a uprated one, and do you need to lube up your diverter valve spring if so what do you use for that

u cant change the stock one..... on aftermarket ones... u use stiffer springs so slight pressure change wont open the dv...

You have to get a new DV, the stock valve is not servicable.

And yes, forge, which are servicable have to be lubed, I believe they come w/the oil necessary.

How to know when your stock is going? It honks, or there's some power loss....

Honestly, if you've got over 60K, you probably wanna upgrade. :p The OEM's were the suck. Except maybe on the turbo S's.

Turbo S and 2003+ NB 1.8Ts all use the 710N.
