Just looking at doing this conversion myself, I already have a spare dash section. Anyone done this recently?
I am really keen to upgrade the audio to a new system that has Android Auto/ Apple

I'd like to try one of these, but they all seem to be for 2005+ NB and I'm looking for one that fits 1998-2001 New Beetles. The older year range doesn't have the hazard button in between the vents...

I believe there is a blackout plug that comes with it.

There are plenty of units that have a wide face that floats out beyond a single DIN opening. Or maybe it wouldn’t look right to some.

Well, I still have the Bug, but now have a 22 Atlas SE w/Tech so I’m hoping to make it a summer project along with heated seats for the captain’s chairs in the Atlas.
