I have a 99 Beetle that we converted to electric about 3 years ago.
Its a great car and has given no trouble. We never did connect the tach to the electric drive system until this week.
Now that the dash cluster sees a tach signal it must assume the engine is running and I now get a red low oil light and beeping.
There is NO ECU an the car.
I assume I just need to find the pin that feeds the oil pressure signal and fake it with a ground or voltage signal.
Does anyone know which pin at the ECM jack this is?
I know this is not very normal but normal is way over rated. ;>)
