I have read a lot of posts that says you must reset the ecm if power is lost/dead battery, etc. My owners manual says only the clock and one touch windows must be reset. My cruise control does not work and one post said you must reset/program ecm after loss of power also throttle body. The lady i got the car from would disconnect the battery when she was out of town for up to 3 months. Does anyone know for sure?

Anyone ever have there battery go dead. Did you have to reset your ecm? Yes/no

Anyone ever change you battery? Did you need to reset your ecm? Yes/no

Did your bug idle ok after a dead/change battery? Yes/no

Did you cruise control work ok after dead/change battery? Yes/no

This is for turbo models only.
