I took my 2004 Automatic Bug up to a local VW shop, The Bug House.
I really dislike the dealerships around here.

The cars been jerking everytime it shifts.
Well after he checked it out he said that the chip either needed to be reprogrammed or I needed a new chip. And that I'd have to take it to a dealership to get it done.

Does anyone know about how much this costs?

Thanks.

try adapting the tranny yourself first. with the ignition on and the engine OFF. hold the accelerator to the floor for 10 seconds. this will re-adapt the tranny computer. sometimes it works
