Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased a 2004 Beetle Convertible. Things are mostly fine, but I am having a small issue with the convertible top. It opens and closes without issue, but the small mechanical flaps do not close when I put the top up. They close when I put the top down, but not back up. There is a light that comes on (next to the time and temperature) that indicates it isn't closed properly. The owners manual says that if that light is on, you should not drive the car. The top is latched, I don't for see it popping open, but I do need to drive the car tomorrow and I'm seeing rain in the forecast tomorrow. Does anyone feel it is NOT okay to drive the car with the condition that it is in?
I'm definitely the type to "freak out" over any light that comes on in the car....any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
