I've held out long enough. I've done the zip tie trick, but I still have to fidgit with the fuse to get the site working sometimes.... So I'm ordering a fuse box. 36 bucks on amazon from dorman, with fuses.

If it is melted; you should test to see, what is pulling so much amps, that it is causing the heat/melting problem. The alternator cable, bad components (cooling fans) etc.; are common problems, that cause this issue. Until, you fix the primary issue; the boxes will continue to melt (a symptom; of a greater problem).

Wasn't melted, the contacts on the fuses we're corroded. Had a couple like that in the one in the dash, but I was able to save them.

careful

Be careful and don't buy the fusebox off ebay made from china cuase you'll be replacing it again. IF I were you test the connections of the new fusebox before you install it to make sure the fuses are not lose or barely making continuity.
