While i was driving my 2005 TDI New Beetle, the glow plug warning light suddenly came on, the air conditioning turned off, and the car started to die. I am not sure what the problem is but i had the dealership replace the timing belt some time ago and ever since then this issue happens every two weeks...

Any ideas as to what is ocurring? I would greatly appreciate it!

Can you start it up right away or does it take time? What happens when this occurs besides the light. Do you get surging? Does it feel like a fuel starvation or power problem?

Maybe have your alternator checked? Fuel filter?

I've never seen it come on and stay on, but I've seen it blink. That has to be scary. I'm thinking it's also something related to the dealer's belt job.
