HELP!!!!!! I have a grand-daughter with a 2005 Beetle non-turbo model that has factory xenon headlights. The vehicle has been wrecked on the passenger side and we are repairing it. The headlight assembly is damaged. The cheapest I've found is freaking $500 for a used unit. My question is this...is it possible to replace both headlight assemblies with the halogen ones? I can buy 2 new halogens for cheaper than I can buy a used xenon unit. I know the plugs are different, does anyone make adapter to do this?

The original unit part # is 030205272 and VW # 1C0941006H

The Xenon headlights were a conversion kit that replaced the original halogen light assembly; you would have to "undo" the HID conversion to use the standard halogen light.

More or less, I could NOT find any documentation of HID Headlights as "Stock"; only Conversion "Upgrades" and "Kits" for New Beetle's. :dunno:
