So if you have a heater core leak and no moisture is found on the carpet, just where does the coolant go? Would it go out the Evaporator drain?

In the case of my leaking heater core, the symptoms were coolant smell in the cabin and a haze on the inside of the windows, especially when in defrost mode. My carpets never got wet. The heater core is in a "well" inside the HVAC box, and it seems to me that there would need to be quite a bit of coolant in the well before it would leak out onto the floor of the car. When I took my leaking core out, there was just trace amounts of coolant in the well, that could be wiped out with a rag. Here is a picture of my leaking core - enough to be noticeable when driving the car, but not dumping coolant out.So if you have a heater core leak and no moisture is found on the carpet, just where does the coolant go? I just may have an issue with they blend doors. Not sure till I get a closer look. I was mainly curious where the coolant ends up. I was thinking it would share the Evaporator drain, assuming it wasn't plugged up. Which, I made sure mine wasn't.A sweet smell, or steam out of the hvac vents; would be a common sign of the problem. A pressure test,,is the best way; i have found, to pinpoint hard to find, coolant leaks.

This is a new thread because it's a new problem. Previous issues were addressed by replacing the water pump and radiator thermal switch. This has been going on for quite awhile; this is a new thread (again), without the whole history of the overheating issue.
Why did you put the blue devil in originally; was there a specific cooling leak, that you were aware of? Did you pressure test the cooling system?
If you are thinking the heater core is leaking, you could bypass it and see if the smell, overheating issue goes away?
Good. video to review:
