I am new to newbeetle.org joining only after purchasing a 2004 GLS 1.8T convertible for my 16 year old daughter to drive.

I have had several air cooled VWs but this is the first new beetle. The 1.8 Turbo model is pretty impressive when compared to the old 36hp models.

I searched the newbeetle.org forums and found info on how to fix my first problem. The drivers door latch. I found a great DIY post that really made the job easy once I found the parts.

I plan the follow the threads and help someone in need when I get the chance.
