I would read through the owners manual and familiarize yourself with the beetle. There is a ton of useful info to know inside. I would follow service recommendations. For my beetle it says transmission fluid is lifetime which is a bunch of crap. I would change drain and fill fluid at least 60k miles. If you have a timing belt change that within mileage or if it is old.
