Looks like the heater core elbows(s) and the coolant flange, coming off the head.

The others are heater core connectors: you can find the part number on the part itself and get genuine vw parts. The other option; is to buy aftermarket versions, like from the brand Dorman.

Keep in mind; this is a semi educated guess; on my part, based on your pics. To confirm the part numbers remove the parts and look for the part number on the part itself. The other option; is to order genuine parts through Volkswagen with your vin #.

Generally two: one more straight and one more angled. Keep in mind; once you start working in the cooling system on a older Volkswagen ; you tend to break a bunch of the plastic parts! They get extremely brittle with age and the heat. Many just snap off and crumble in your hands. It can be frustrating; some parts are being reproduced in metal, rather than the. Stock plastic and these last longer. Search "votex" on Amazon for the coolant flanges or fixmyvw.com . If you are in there; I recommend replacing the thermostat and the thermostat cooling flange, as well.,

Yea ill look for the flange in metal. And I'll look at the thermostat flange and probably change that one too. So the flange I need connects too the back ? The one close to the dashboard ? Can it also b the tube the the coolant is leaking from ?

In my experience; I have had them leak from all the plastic flanges and the coolant connectors on the firewall/heater core. As they get old; they crack and leak with age. Plastic just cannot handle the heat; they get brittle and very delicate. The best way to find a leak; is to pressure test the cooling system. I use a kit from harbor freight; that has the adapter for our Volkswagens, plus most others cars on the road today. Not pro quality but for the price, it gets the job done.look online for a 20% off coupon.

Well, it depends on which ones you are referring to; 034 Motorsports makes some and as does ecs tuning, gruvenparts.

thermostat housing/flange: 2.0L/1.8T

http://newbeetle.org/forums/1-8-lit...metal-thermostat-housing-034-motorsports.html

"votex" cheaper chinese cast versions; made out of aluminum: thermostat (1.8T/2.0L) and coolant temp sensor flanges (2.0L only):

gruvenparts: assorted cooling pieces in aluminum

Cooling System

ecs tuning has some aluminum upgrade parts; there are more but I can't seem to find them

What part are you looking for specifically? There are lots of vw tuning companies; that have made parts over the years but sometimes, they will stop making them (lack of demand?). I have contacted gruvenparts about making the unique coolant flange that comes off the head and has the coolant temp sensor in it for my 2002 1.8T AWP New Beetle. They said; they could make the part or any part we want in aluminum but they need 20 paying customers to start design/production. So, far; I haven't had enough people show interest to get anything made.

coolant flange

Do you mean the coolant flange that has the temp sensor and connected to the head? Or the two connectors that are connected to the heater core?

yes, the coolant flange that has the green temp. sensor and mounts right to the side of the block/head. I still did not find one made of metal that fits my car 03 1.8T , oh well I'll keep looking. thanks

sorry if we hijacked this thread.

Yeah, at this current time; I am not aware of anyone making that coolant flange. However, if we could get 20 people in a group buy; gruvenparts.com, said they would make them for us. :)

20 people? I wouldn't mind getting on that list if the price is fair enough.
