I am a newbie here but a little disappointed that no replies came in to my post on the transmission part. Thought I would try posting elsewhere. I just bought a 1998 Bug and the transmission won't shift from 3rd to HI. Looking for some advice. Thanks!

I posted on one of your other threads, a link to the org members facebook page. I strongly suggest joining and fielding your questuon there.
Facebook has become an internet monster. Many spend A LOT of their time there... it's an obsession that has drawn many away from forums, including newbeetle.org. The Collectuve was created as a way to keep the lines off communication tethered to home base... the org. As an ol school orger, it's kinda sad seeing the org getting less attention; but thats the way it is in the ever evolving world of social media. The facebook page helps keep the org relevant, even bringing new membees here, unaware of the org.
Anyhoo, you'll probably get a quicker response if you check into the facebook page...
