Hi, I just bought a 2004 beetle, it did not come with an owners manual. Is there a way to retrieve the radio code from a working radio? I need to disconnect my battery to try to reset my door control module (need to disconnect the battery for approx. 30-90 minutes) and I'm afraid when I do this my radio is going to go into safe mode. I looked in the trunk and I found a sticker, with my vin# and the color code for the car, not sure if the radio pin# is on this sticker also. Any help will be apprciated! Thanks!:confused:

I've had my battery disconnected many times and have never needed the radio code. You may need to run the adaption on the throttle body, however, and that could require VCDS or a dealer to do. VCDS is a clone of the diagnostic tool the dealer uses:
