I was going on freeway and was about to stop for a left turn then it started again. The battery light shows up for few seconds and car starts to slow down and it turns off all of a sudden. I was able to turn on the car right away but it happened to me a week ago too... I bought this car from a private seller and he is a guy from my church..maybe trustworthy? He said he never had this kind of problem. I saw some posts about crankshaft, crank position sensor, fuel filter what should i do with the car? I went to the mechanic after my first stop and they said there is nothing they can do because the computer said everything is perfect. So i am going to go to another mechanic tomorrow and what should i tell them to replace or check? I am young girl living far away from parents do not know anything about the car so i do not want to be over charged or fraud. Please HELP!!

2005 NB with 137898 mi on it. It had alternator replaced and other than this problem everything is good.

What engine do you have? Are you going to a VW mechanic? A mechanic telling you there's nothing he can do because there's no codes means he doesn't have a clue about cars. Where are you located? Maybe someone can recommend a mechanic.

Have the fuse block checked. That's the box on top of the battery. Good luck!
