I thought bluetooth was standard?

Hi. I'm planning to trade in my 2002 Beetle for a 2013. It's listed as having bluetooth, but the dealer says it doesn't -- I would have to install it. From everything I've read it sounded like bluetooth was standard in 2012 and beyond Beetles. Is this not the case?

I'm concerned about the quality of bluetooth that doesn't come already installed.

Does it have the steering wheel with the buttons on the left side? One of them has a button looking like a phone receiver. That's where I activate it on my '13.

Your dealer or sales person doesn't know what they are talking about. Of course it has Blue Tooth. I have a 2012 with the basic radio and it did come with Bluetooth. It doesn't have Steering wheel controls. The phone button is on the roof center console area. And you can pair your phone and stream music through the speakers. After you pair it you can hit Media and BT (Bluetooth) should be one of the options. It won't appear until you pair your phone.
2013 Beetle - Bluetooth or not?

I have the same question. I just purchased a CPO 2013 Beetle and it has the basic radio. The dealer says it has no bluetooth but when I go to the radio I see Bluetooth Audio On or Off.

I just want to stream audio from my iPhone.

How do I know if it has it or not?
