im trying to paint some interior pieces in my beetle i cleaned them with awesome and a green scotch pad and sanded with 800 wet sand paper. and when i sprayed it with dupli color adhesion promoter it was like the plastic interior pieces were bubbling up. am i not suppose to use a adhesion promoter?

The "promoter" can should have warnings on it somewhere letting you know what you cannot spray it on; so read the instructions on the can.

it says its for all automotive plastics. interior and exterior

Just a curious question; did you remove all of the "rubber coating" that is on all of the interior parts? And not all plastics are created equal.

yeah i did. and luckely i figured out what i was doing wrong when i was spraying the promoter i was spraying the coats on to thick and it was melting the plastic. but i sanded it back down with 220 and finished it up and just waiting till tomorrow till its good and dry to water sand it and clear it.
