So the plastic latch for the hood broke off today when I noticed the temp light blinking red. I need to get under the hood to add some water. Has anyone ever had to open theirs without this latch? Is it easy to replace?

Pop it up (to where the little plastic thing would normally come out) and reach your hand up there.. feel for the pointy, almost sharp thing on the latch and push down on it all the way while lifting the hood up.

Mine has been broken for over a year now. Some people zip tie theirs, but I have small hands and can easily get mine open. I don't want a janky zip tie hanging out all the time

I did what Randi did, except I used a pair of long handled needle-nose pliers I got from harbor freight. My hands are a little bigger than Randi's
