I can't say that the service department sucks. I've heard great things, but never have made an appointment. We did look at buying a Jetta from them. My first "prebuying" experience with them involved snotty sales man telling me the "convertible beetles are trade ins and belong to the mercedes lot" which is next door and also owned by the same people. I was furious over this, and ended up having a nice chat with upper management. We went back to look for a TDI Golf. We were sold on a Jetta. They wouldn't let us take it home and without the cosigner present, wouldn't even work on numbers with us. In short: the salesmen try too hard to be your friend, when they really just annoy you. They tell you all the wrong things about the cars, and they really don't act like they are interested in a sale at all.
