I was in a similar situation; in my case, I had removed/installed the screws so many times, that they were falling out. The plastic plate mount; is not threaded but just plastic, so the screws make their own "threads". I couldn't reuse the old size screws; as the plastic was stripped out. I just went to AutoZone and got some black colored license plate screws, this created new threads in the plastic and they worked fine. Not exactly answering your question but I thought, I would tell you, what I found that worked for me.

In my store; it was in the area, that has license plate related frames, fasteners, etc. That is a good part number and you should be able to call ahead and confirm; they have it in stock. Good luck! I hope this helps!

Call ahead and ask them to find it; they can set it aside for you or order it online Special ordering it; is always a option. I’ve been ordering things from them lately; shows up pretty quickly and typically ships for free.

Well, I recommend; you try the Hillman kit that worked for me. I would call ahead and see if they have it in stock. Otherwise, you can just order it; I've noticed, that I have been ordering parts from Autozone and they will ship it to my house with free shipping, eliminating one more trip to the store.
