We just bought a 2005 New Beetle Cabrio GL (convertible). The car looks to be in pretty good condition with only 53k miles on the odometer. The engine is 2.0l (BEV). Automatic transmission (HFZ).

I'm hoping to get a better idea of what I'm getting myself into. :D

Welcome from Houston!

Welcome Jeff,

A BIG Texas Welcome to the Org!

I too, have an '05 Convertible, Dark Flint SE, you've come to the right place to learn all about your new ride! I'm sure you will love it as much as I love mine!

By way of a welcoming present I have put together a little thing here

No history... Timing Belt & Water Pump and all that go along with this service, accesory belt, both belt tensioners, mototr mount bolt replacement. Advanced thread search "timing belt".

If you need an Owner's Manual, a wealth of information, check here (I do have a '99) http://newbeetle.org/forums/parts-accessories/48896-fs-owners-manuals-40-shipped.html I also have several covertible top boots, parade boots, or improperly referred to as a tonneau covers, along with a couple windstops if you need either or both.

Again, welcome, and let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

I'm sure others will be along anytime now, to shower you with welcomes!
