As the title says - test drove the bug tonight after installing new Osram H1s. They are miles better than the stock H1s. However, while motoring along I lowered the drivers window and noticed the lights dimmed, when i hit the switch again they dimmed. My daughter hit her switch (passenger side) and same thing.

I scanned the car with my torque app and found no codes.

So is this a possible alternator or battery issue? Or both?

Or neither. Could just be because the power windows draw a bit of power which causes the lights to dim momentarily. I wouldn't worry just yet unless you have other issues.
Did this happen when you were driving or at idle?

Driving, testing out the new Osram's to be sure the daughter had sufficient light going into the darkness of winter - and they work great.

Mine has done that for the past 10 years. Original alternator still. I think it's supposed to be like that, not a big deal.
