My daughter's friennd just locked the keys in my daughters 2000 Beetle. We only have one set and I'm brain storming how to get into the car. Im assuming the 2000 is the same as the 03 Carbio we have and the lock/unlock button does not work when the car is locked.

Any ideas???

Locksmith, 30 to 40 bucks and they won't damage anything.

Call AAA it's happen to me before and they got it unlocked in less than 10 minutes.

Don't have AAA

She Was really hoping to get them out without spending any money. I've pulled back doors before to push the door lock switch with a rod, but that will not work with this car.

I got it! Googled it on the web and found out the lever to open the door will unlock and open the door. Put a few scratches on it prying the door frame out (it has a lot more), but poped the door in just a few minutes.
