Having had a 74 Super Beetle as my first car (20+ years ago) I have an opportunity to get a 1999 VW New Beetle from a friend...being sold to me at a steal because it's a "project car"...some of the known challenges are O2 sensor, a bad fuel injector, check engine light, ABS light, needs starter,and AC is out...don't know actual mileage, but taking a look at it tomorrow, if I like it I will be towing it to its new home this weekend, never had a project car, rarely even work on my own cars, have a feeling I will be spending A LOT of time here...What the heck...For the love of the Beetle, and new hobbies!!
