I just got my first NB yesterday :)D !) but I've noticed that on both sides of the roof in the back of the car (inside), the upholstery does not fit correctly. This basically leaves two gaps where I can see the actual top of the beetle. As reupholstering is not an option, does anyone have any creative ideas of what to do with this? (How to cover it creatively)
Thanks!

The adhesive has worn out and turned to dust.
Typical problem from heat, it’s more apparent with the curvature of the roof.
You can get spray adhesive / contact cement at Auto everywhere.
Some come with a tube that will let you spray the stuff farther into the opening you note.
I used a plastic bowl on top of a stick wedged into the carpet to hold it in place while it dried.
