Head rebuilt last fall, jokers farmed out the rebuild fortunately but then half-assed the reinstallation. Has developed exhaust leak, believe to be pre-turbo, most likely manifold-to-turbo gasket from what I've read.

Have read where other people have asked about this, but no real answers... with zero direct vision, is it possible to replace this gasket with the head on and without pulling an axle? How? Any write-ups, tips, or photos?

Not the work that scares me, it's the time, lack of funds, and lack of a backup vehicle for the wife. Thanks!

I don't know about any of that but I have a copper manifold to turbo gasket I could sell cheap.
I use copper gaskets cut form the same sheet all over my suburbans turbos and they have worked flawlessly.
They see around 30psi of drive pressure and about 1000'F TIT quite often.

Yes, it can be replaced without removing the head. Just went through this in my rebuild...
