I had a lot of trouble. The left rear window got stuck closed, the repair is very expensive because they told me that vw supplies the whole block including the glass and I am not going to fix it for now, of course the capote does not open because the glass does not snap into the opening of those 5/7 cm and I would like to open and close the hood manually as described in the manual by releasing the oil circuit. this operation in the manual is foreseen only in emergency in case the top remains open to close it but does not speak if it is possible to open it with the same system. someone has tried something like that I have doubts because I don't understand if the fins that during the electric opening are raised opening it manually what they do I would not break them what do you say

What year and model vw are you working on? Sedan, Convertible. etc? Anything can be fixed and always remember; the vw dealer, is the most expensive repair service available for your car and many things typically can be fixed yourself with the proper service manual info, quality replacement parts, patience, time, effort, many times a vw scan tool like the VCDS scanner from ross tech and a willingness to get your hands dirty! :) Aside from diy, there maybe other vw specialist shops; that could do things for less.
