Hi all. I am new to this forum and may be asking repeat question, but could not find a thread that would provide an answer.
I recently purchased a 1999 new beetle 2.0 liter in excellent condition and only 86,000 miles on it. Car runs great, butI am continually getting the horrible check engine light on. Have a code reader, did a scan and got the following:
-1582 (Dirty throttle body)
-P0116 (Temp sensor)
-P0302 (Cyl 2 misfire)
-P0440 (Fuel evap System)
I am a fair "do-it-yourselfer" and am wondering where the logical place to start might be.
I thought I would start by cleaning the throttle body, but wondering if that is best place to start.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is a good place to start and look up the codes: Ross-Tech Wiki

That site gives some pretty good info on causes and fixes for codes.
