Just got my 2005 Beetle and it's real purty. But it won't hold a charge overnight. Runs fine all day and charges up quick when I put it to the charger in the morning. Then as I start it through the day, it's slower and slower to crank. Has about 1.5 draw, pulled all the fuses for a parasitic check. All lights are off and a new battery. Mechanic thinks it might be the fuse box? I've read here that it might be the Monsoon radio? Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks...

I would always start with a full charging system check; confirm, everything is working as it should (sounds like you did that)?

Beyond that, the stock or aftermarket stereo system; is a classic source, for a parasitic draw. I would pull the stereo and see, if the issue is resolved. If you have a aftermarket stereo; it can be hooked up wrong or the stock vw amp, if used, can stay on, killing the battery.
