I've seen a number of them like this in the past, some done as 4x4s, some done as low riders, but people do it for fun. And it's really not that much more work than VW.. it's just chopping out the middle and welding it back together again with a shorter drive-line (unless it's front wheel drive).

I have similar thoughts on doing it to my Ford Transit Connect... but I would need money and I don't have any of that >_<
