well its been about 2 months sence my car has ran. lol. something that sould have taken a week took 2 months. now im fianly about done. my piping got welded yesterday. adn then i painted it. and its all asembled.. but their is a problem. im short 3 t-bolt clamps. so thats gotta be ordered. and i need a end for the battery ground cable. and when thats all dont the car should hopefuly start. imobilizer will prolly halft to be reset. stupid cars. i still need to make a bracket for the intercooler. im afraid its going to fall off lol. so ill halft to limp over to the welder and have him make me some. cam gear will need to be installed. but kinda lazy to do that right know. also the combi valve needs to be caped or siliconed off. and to tell u hks is the devil. to mount the bov to the flang.. u use this stupid c-clip. and its to hardest theing to ever do.. so i made a tool and took me about 15 seconds to stick it in their. i hate u hks. so just cross your fingers and hope it starts. and not explode. :mad: pics pice pics pics

Wow, that's a huge FMIC. And some big piping, too.

uummm stock lmao!!!! big turbo isnt ready. im still in the makeing stages. i just need to limp around.

i know... i burned threw a set of falkin azanies... now i got slicks.. omg where all goign to die...

Congrats on this Fearless Mod!! I hope I have time next week to put mine in, Ill try my best not to perform as much car surgery as you but you know the NBis a PITA in the engine mod department....
You wont loose too much presure (like 1 lbs/ PSI tops) one of myfriend put a HUGE 22 x 12 x 3.5 inc h IC in his Seat Leon and he lost half a lb...

well precision stats that with with their 31x11.5x3.5 their is a 20% effency drop:( so will see \. imm get the car dynoed. but without the intercooler. just on c16 and water injection

well when i dyno it will be on..116 as uasial. water injection, 310 or 330cc injectors, adj fpr, limiwinks, diode,mbc limmi advanced timing. retarded cam gear, and as much boost i can push threw taht dinky turbo:D

well i got the front bumper on... had to do some trimming. but it fits. now all i need is my ground cable that no one ever has in stalk:( what do u think?????

well i washed my car today... first time in months!!!!! car still dosent run :mad: i need either a new oil pressure sender and or oil pump... thats so not cool

A much better way to improve and inlarge the IC on our cars is to use an IC that takes compressed turbo air and routes it to an IC that has the enterance on the same side as the outflow. I believe this type of IC is called a down flow as opposed to a cross flow IC. I have seen only one manufacturer of this type, but I am sure more makers have come out with their own version. By keeping the enterance and exit on the same side, it greatly reduces the distance the boosted air must travel and allows for the boosted and much cooler air to be routed back to the throttle body as in the stock application. The shortest route from turbo to IC and to the intake manifold is the best for max performance and way less plumbing. What did you do with the boost sensor on the stock IC??? How did you modify the cold air intake system to run under the IC output hose???Or did you eliminate that all together?? Inpatiently waiting for the end results...and also slightly jelous that you have a play car to enjoy and that you have made the huge effort to improve your performance... JK

The EVOLUTION intercooler has this vertical flow and same side exits but its $1200USD....!!!

IMHO in prefer a more exposed Ic than one that suffers from fitting, the EVO for example sits behind half the bumper and half the front crash bar so both block the air. I tried the evo but after seeing the intallation and cutting required I kept my $$$. The Bug is really a PITA regarding FMIC, see our friend Vdubed here and his battery relocation to accomodate his IC..
