Need armrest help!
I just purchased a 2001 Beetle and the only thing wrong with it is that there was no armrest. I have this ugly metal piece sticking up from the back of my center console. I can't seem to find a new armrest that has all of the pieces and screws that I need to replace it. I also read somewhere that they sell a cover for it. If anyone has any idea where I can get a cover, please let me know! This is my first time owning a beetle or any vw car in general so I'm not sure where to look for parts.

I am pretty sure; these are the same on the Jetta/Golf/New Beetle: contact them to make sure.

Odds are your center console armrest latch is broken by now. Odds are also pretty high that you're tired of trying to rest your arm on that wiggling lid.
You could buy a repair button and fiddle around getting the latch working again. But you'd still have that nasty coffee stain to look at on the old lid.
We have a better idea: a completely new center armrest, available in three colors, cloth or leather covered. Choose from black leather or velour, or gray or beige leather covers.

It works, but is not a exactly fit. The side plastics will not cover up to the base on the New Beetle, as the center console on NB is lower than the Golf.
As I said, it works, only the rear passangers will notice that is not a perfect fit.
