Need help with AC clutch Reassembly
My daughter's 2001 Beatle started to make a squealing sound last night. I opened the hood and while i was watching the AC clutch plate came off. I found the retaining nut and clutch plate. Looks like it was just a loose nut.
My problem is when I go to assemble it back together, the shaft turns as I try to tighten the nut. How does one tighten the nut on the AC compressor shaft if it turns? Is there some way to lock the shaft in place? Thanks for any insight.
