Hi guys, my 2001 beetle has a beige interior, I'm looking for the cup holder inserts for the center console, a driver seat belt buckle cuz the ABS light keeps coming on, and the passenger seat flip forward lever needs the plastic handle. Where's a good place for those?

Depends, if you want new or used; plastics get brittle from age and heat.

New your local vw dealer or online sellers (ecstuning, FCPEuro, cascade gernan auto parts, etc) or ebay is another option.

A trip to a local, pick and pull; could be a cheap way to get needed missing used parts.

I got the seat release handles, genuine vw versions off of ebay; these were from Latvia, took a bit to get but showed up fine. These were black and the interior i was working on; had a different color and so, i used the Duplicolor vinyl, fabric and interior plastic paint with excellent results.

Note: be sure to get the small metal clips; that retain the release levers in place or they will fall off.

For the belt buckle; some are discontinued by vw (new) and in that case, a good used one is a option or some on this site , have attempted repair, installed a resistor, so the system sees the belt as buckled as “locked” or ship it out for a possible pro repair service.

An ABS light will be an issue with your brake system. The airbag light would be a problem with the seat belts or airbags.

I don’t think on a 2001 that the seat belt buckle is monitored, other than to indicate that you have put it on, which if you haven’t the “fasten seatbelt” light will just keep flashing and chiming. Even that will stop after couple of minutes.

If this is indeed an ABS light you need to scan your car with vcds, a wheel speed sensor is the more likely culprit to trigger an ABS light and vcds can tell you which one. If it is your airbag light vcds will tell you where the problem lies it’s that also.
