new 99 NB owner, Hawaii

Just bought my first car ever, a white 99 New Beetle, <80000 miles. Currently in the shop fixing a headlight issue and getting the safety registration done so I can drive her around legally, exterior is nearly pristine but for a few notable exceptions, and under the hood everything is sound for now according to my mechanic, but the interior is beat to hell and I cannot wait to get her back and give her the love she deserves <3 Bought for 2300, which left me with some cash to put into cosmetic work ASAP so I'm sure I'll be posting updates as things move along. Wanted to stop by and introduce myself and my new baby, and check out if there are any other Hawaii-based NB owners round these parts!

I purchased a 99 New Beetle in the same position in March. Great exterior but the interior looked like hell. Good luck bringing her back.
