Hi...I am looking at getting a H&R Sway Bar Kit (22mm front and 25mm rear) for my 2003 New Beetle.

I notice the rear sway bar is larger than the front...is this a good combination on a Beetle?

I think my car never even came with a rear sway bar from new...so going from that to a larger one in the rear seems odd?

Any other advice on sway bars is a help...also will be using Koni FSD suspension later, and possibly eibach sport springs?

Thanks!:)

Hi Beetel,
That sway bar setup is very similar to the setup I've had on my 2000 1.8t from 2001 until last year. The handling is very good for street and fair for autocross.
Also had FSD's on the car. Not sold on those, although KONI was very good about replacing a leaking rear shock that had about 50,000 miles on it.
And, for what it's worth, there is a stabilizer bar designed into the rear axle beam.
Best wishes and have fun!
