Hello Forum. I just got a New Beetle 1,6 Gasoline from 2007 as a project.

Engine misfires on cylinder 4 and computer goes on Engine failure mode.

Just made a compession test and good compression on cylinder 1-3.

But cylinder 4 has zero compression.

Does anyone have an idea what that could be ? (piston ring/valve etc.)

pour some oil in cylinder 4 and retake the compression. If it's better, it's the rings. That said, zero is drastic. Dropped or damaged valve or hole in the piston.

A borescope is a good idea, I have one of those, last spring when I tried to use it on my daughters beetle I found the end was just a tiny bit to big for the glow plug hole. I pulled the head to find this, a dropped valve. If you buy a bore scope make sure the end fits through the spark plug hole.
