I had a 2000 GLX with a 5 speed manual and regularly got MPGs in the upper 20's and sometimes upper 30's when on a trip.
On my 2004 I have only had 1 tank to compare and some of that tank was getting used to the car and fixing some issues so while I managed 22 MPG I don't think it was representative. I also have a somewhat heavy foot enjoying the power from the mighty 1.8. I also suspect my MPGs won't be as good as this new car is a convertible and right now the top is mostly down. Of course, both cars demanded premium gas.
