Good day,
I've just purchased an '03 VW Beetle 2.0 AVH engine for my daughter.
Although I've done a lot of work on my own American/ Japanese cars, I am unfamiliar with VW's.
The little reading I've been doing suggests I'm going to need a VW mechanic who's a specialist in my area.
I live in Suffolk County NY (Long Island), and would welcome suggestions for shops specializing in VW's in the area.

Welcome - I don't know any mechanics up your way - I am hunting down a resource I've seen posted here for a list that SmilieBug put up for a TDI resource. If they are recommended by that group they should do well with just about any of our cars. Here is the link she provided:
