Excuse me if I sound a little ignorant as I'm really an old school air-cooled Volkswagen person but I just bought a 2007 beetle fixer upper that's kind of new to me and I'm getting a code p2101 and read up a little on it which says it's the throttle body that could be cleaned to fix it, and after reading up on it most people say I need to remove it but I just watched a video where they said to clean one that's electronic you should keep it on and have someone press the gas pedal to open the butterfly and not to do it with your hand otherwise you have to reset it and if this is correct my question is how do I thoroughly clean it? Do I just spray throttle cleaner down its throat while someone presses the gas? Thanks.
