Hi friends.
Got my 2000 bug back from the mechanic today after sending her in for a washer bottle and window reg replacement. Upon getting it back, I noticed I had no window power and no central locking. The mechanic told me I have a “dodgy fuse” (the one I’m pointing at) and it needs to be re-soldered. Can anyone tell me what this cord actually does and if he’s telling the truth? Cheers

Which, engine and tranmission; does your 2000 New Beetle have? I assume, you have a UK spec RHD New Beetle; if that is the case, you might want to get a UK spec Haynes service manual. They are pretty affordable, not a good as a VW factory one but definitely, better then nothing, they offer the paper version or online access, for instant availability.
