i replace my(new) alternator and battery on 03 vw turbo convertible and my battery still isn't being charged.... any suggestion ?

This is where you absolutely need a multimeter. With your car at idle the battery posts should be reading around 14v. If it’s not then the auto parts alternator you bought is junk and you’ll need to take it back for replacement under warranty.

This is a very common problem with box store remans. It happened to me with a starter, to my brother with an alternator. I warrantied my starter three times before I finally bought a Bosch and have had no problems since. I should have bought the Bosch the first time.

It’s very hard to diagnose a charging problem without a multimeter. Less than $30 at Walmart or Home Depot for an easy to read digital one. You tube for a lesson on how to use it.
