Maybe a oil detection kit would help; the uv dye could help detection easier? You might be able to rent a kit at a auto
parts store or buy one, for not too much?

As noted, valve cover gaskets, pcv hoses being split, oil cap seal and the oil cooler seal; are common leak sources, on the 2.0L.

For oem quality gaskets i have found German Elring brand, to be very high quality, the best i have ever used (some claim they supply genuine vw) ; great prices, from FCPEURO. Victor Reinz or Mahle, is another option, sold at most local auto parts stores and then Felpro, (i listed the quality gasket quality; from high to lower quality.)
