I just bought an old style Beetle horn for my 06. I've been looking for previous posts on how to install it but not finding anything with pics or instruction. I also Googled it and looked on YouTube. A lot of people want to do it but don't know how. All I've found out is that it's supposed to be located behind the driver's side fender.

Is this something easy to do or should I take it to the dealer to do it?

If anyone out there knows how and can instruct me or show me where to go to find out please let me know! Thanks!

should be easy enough to do, I believe you just have to pop the inner fender well off. and swap out the horn .

I think I read somewhere that this new horn is 12V and the old one is 6V? So the fuse has to be changed out??? I have no clue!

My 73 Super Beetle has a 12volt system.
Beetles: 1954 thru 1966 used the 6 volt system
