New member here, looks like a lot of good information on this site.
Frustrated with a p0715 code

Replaced input sensor, no change, tested wires from sensor to TCM, all OK. Replaced TCM, code cleared, shifted fine, got a P0864 which eventually cleared.

That was 5 months ago, now the P0715 is back, and stuck in limp mode.

Don't want to rip the dash apart again, sensor measured 900 ohms
out of the car.

I can clear the code and it comes back with the key on without starting or moving the car. Hoe does the code set without the tranny moving?

I am guessing something else is causing this, is there any way
to test the sensors? I don't want to spend money on parts that won't fix the problem.

2004 Beetle 2.0 gas, 01m automatic, 75,000 miles, replaced the tranny fluid and filter.

I am not a mechanic, but do my own repairs, this is my daughters car, and I don't have a Vagcom, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
