First post but I've been stalking the threads for a long time to trouble shoot, everyone has been very knowledgable.

For a 2006 NBC 2.5
I have not been able to find any videos or reviews of someone painting the rocker, or what may be the best way. I was thinking I could pull the rear passenger quarter body panel off to gain access to the rocker for sanding and painting etc. The rust only became apparent recently so I want to catch it. Michigan winters are tough on low riding cars :(

Thanks in advance to everyone!

How bad's the rust? Show us some photos of the damage.

A warm welcome to the greatest Beetle ORG on the web. We love photos, so, I hope you'll share a batch of yours!

Would this be specific to the NBC or would this question be better suited to another thread. I'm wanting to do the best job possible at removing and re-painting the rust.

If it were me I would pull the rear fender to be able to get at it easier. Will also aloow for inspecting the end of the rocker which is up under the fender
